Dallas, Texas – American General Life and Accident Insurance Company (AGLA) will bring its national road tour—the AGLA Hiring Drive—to Dallas on October 3 as part of a bold new multi-year hiring initiative. The 10-day cross-country tour is designed to kick off AGLA’s Now Hiring Future Heroes campaign developed in conjunction with CareerBuilder®.
“AGLA has served the Dallas-Fort Worth area for nearly 100 years, and the Dallas local office currently leads the company’s Mid-South Region” says Gregory Carpenter, general manager of AGLA ‘s Dallas south office. “We offer excellent training and management support to all our agents to maintain our vibrant success and foster a positive workplace environment. We’re very excited about being a part of this new initiative to grow our sales force of full-time and affiliated independent agents.” he says.
Both entry-level and experienced candidates are encouraged to attend the AGLA Hiring Drive event in Dallas on October 3 and apply for positions to represent AGLA’s Quality of Life…Insurance® family of products. “People are invited to pick up information, drop off their resumes, register for door prizes, enjoy refreshments—and even bring the kids if they’d like,” adds Francis Goh, general manager for AGLA’s Dallas-Ft.Worth office.
The AGLA Hiring Drive tour bus will stop across from the Texas State Fair at Two Podners Bar-B-Q & Seafood, 1441 Robert E. Cullum Blvd. from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. AGLA representatives will also be on-hand before and after the event to assist job seekers.

During the national tour, a branded AGLA Hiring Drive Tour Bus will stop in 15 cities from Baltimore, Md. to Los Angeles, Calif. to solicit on-site job applications. The AGLA bus will stop in approximately two cities each day for 10 days beginning September 27 through October 6.
Through the AGLA Hiring Drive and the on-going Now Hiring Future Heroes campaign, AGLA seeks to hire both full and part-time agents to educate consumers on the Quality of Life…Insurance product. After an initial paid training period, compensation is commission-based with excellent bonus potential, a full benefits package, and tuition assistance for industry-related training.
In addition to a possible new career, job seekers will have an opportunity at each Hiring Drive event to speak directly with current AGLA sales agents and managers, enjoy refreshments, and register to win an Apple iPad.
