City of Dallas Closings and Schedules for Thanksgiving Holiday Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28

City offices Closed

Libraries All libraries will be closed Thursday, Nov 27 and Friday, Nov. 28. All libraries will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26. Libraries will open regular hours Saturday, Nov. 29.

Recreation Centers Closed

Animal Services Will respond to 311 calls

Police Administrative offices-Closed

Will operate on normal schedule

Dallas Fire Rescue Will operate on a normal schedule

Court and Detention Services Administrative offices Closed

The Lew Sterrett Justice Center Lobby, 111 W. Commerce will be open for citation processing from 6 a.m. – 10 p.m. 7 days a week including holidays.

Sani S Sanitation Neither garbage nor recycled items will be picked up on Thanksgiving Day, November 27th .

TWICE WEEKLY GARBAGE SERVICES

FRIDAY collection services will resume on Tuesday, December 2nd.

RECYCLING COLLECTION MAKE-UP DATES

RESIDENTS whose recycled items would normally be picked up on Thursday, November 27 should instead place the recycling out for collection

ONE DAY EARLY – on Wednesday, November 26.

RESIDENTS whose recycled items would normally be picked up on Friday, November 28 should instead place the recycling out for collection the following Wednesday, December 3.

ONCE-WEEKLY Garbage/Recycling Services

Customers will receive normal garbage and recycling services on their scheduled day “Friday”, NOVEMBER 28th.

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES

Administrative offices and Transfer Stations will be closed to the public on Thanksgiving Day and on Friday, November 28. McCommas Bluff Landfill will be open to the public on Friday, November 28th.
