City to take 3-1-1 Services directly to Dallas residents
Dallas – Residents will soon have a new way to enter their 3-1-1 service requests. Starting July 25, the 3-1-1 Mobile Squad vehicle can go directly to Dallas neighborhoods, allowing residents to enter 3-1-1 service requests onsite. Service requests can also be made online at www.dallascityhall.com or by calling 3-1-1.
This vehicle will give Dallas residents direct access to 3-1-1 City services at town hall meetings, city events, community cleanups and safety fairs in their neighborhoods. The mobile squad will also support neighborhood sweeps in council districts. Onsite 3-1-1 agents can enter service requests and provide confirmation and status of service requests already made.
“Having the ability to go out into the community and assist residents with their 3-1-1 service requests is a plus for the City,” said Eva Liggins, Assistant Director of 3-1-1 Services. “The vehicle will also improve customer service and establish an external face to face presence citywide.”
The 3-1-1 Mobile Squad was developed in collaboration with Code Compliance, Sanitation Services, Communication and Information Services, Equipment and Building Services and the Office of Strategic Customer Services. Residents can request the 3-1-1 Mobile Squad at their next community meeting by calling 3-1-1.
