Comerica Bank Help Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with important contribution to the GDHCC
Dallas- Texas: A group of recognized Hispanic Leaders and City Dignitaries gathered at the Hispanic Chamber of Dallas on Cinch de Mayo to celebrate the important date and to seal a significant contribution from Comerica Bank.
James Garavaglia Vice President and Director for Public affairs for Comerica reiterated the financial Institution’s commitment to the community, this important funding for the underwriting of the Maple BAC ( Business assistance Center) also added “ This is a tremendous opportunity for help grow small business in Dallas, 70% of our banks are located in heavily populated Hispanic neighborhoods, it’s logical that we become the reflection of the community we serve, this important opportunity allow us to grow together as an integral community, these services, research and resources available at the BACs are instrumental for the solid growth and prosperity of our small businesses. GDHCC’s Ceo and President Cici Rojas was proud to announce Comerica’s increased commitment to the Chamber in 2008 as the main underwriter of the Bac program this yea; Comerica bank’s significant investment will empower the GDHCC’s capability to implement new programs and training that will develop the essential entrepreneurial skills needed to manage a successful business. Chief among these programs is Fast Trac, a twelve week program that teaches and motivates entrepreneurs and their ideas by directing them to move their ventures to new levels of growth.
The GDHCC has also launched a small business outreach marketing campaign in partnership of the four most recognized Spanish newspapers in the DFW area— El Extra, El Hispano News, El Lider USA, and Novedades News. This initiative is targeted to offering educational articles, on a monthly basis, discussing topics and issues that impact small businesses.
