So what have we learned about the NBA playoffs after the first round. Well, Detroit is the team to beat again in the NBA. We also learned that for an upset to happen to knock of Detroit, LeBron James and the Cavs will have to fully play lights out ball.

Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers would love to have opportunity to knock on their door again, spotting the Phoenix Suns 3-1. They are learning their lesson about putting teams away when the chance comes up.

The LA Clippers are now legit, but against Phoenix they could revert to the Clippers of old. Then there is the Mavs-Spurs series. This is a grinder series, game one was a great example. This series comes down to who plays defense the best. Some of the Spurs defensive scheme is implanted into Coach Avery Johnson and the Mavs. That’s the reason why Coach Avery Johnson is the NBA Coach of the Year. So the second round has begun. There maybe a suprise or two in this second round. Which will make the NBA playoff fun to watch.

I’ll admit it, when the Texas Rangers started the season 2-7, i was hitting the panic button. The hitting was not there and neither was pitching. Now both are coming around, and the Rangers are atop of the AL West. The pitching had issues, especially the relief pitching. A change had to be made, Coco Corderro was demoted to middle relief. Atinori Otsuka, who came in the Adam Eaton trade from San Diego, is now the new Ranger closer. So far, each time he saves a game, he does. The suttle changes the Manger Buck Showalter makes, is a good move. There’s

plenty of season left, but the Rangers hope to be there come October.
