There is one word to describe the Dallas Cowboys 2009. Pycho, inconsistent, wishy washy, okay thats more that one word. But you get my drift as the Pokes let one get away again. This time to a upstart Denver Broncos team 17-10. The same Broncos that had the rift between Coach Josh McDaniel and then QB Jay Cutler. Then wide receiver Brandon Marshall threatened to leave the team. The Broncos were in disaray in the off season, yet they find themselves 4-0. Their defense made the adjustments the Cowboy did not make in the second half. The Pokes were all over the Broncos, but only up 10-7 at the half. The Broncos defense kept them in the game. The Cowboys defense played their hearts out, but got heart broken when Brandon Marshall weaved his way around the Cowboys secondary for a 51 yard touchdown late in the game. Tony Romo and the Boys had a chance to force overtime with a TD. Sam Hurd catch and run put the Pokes in position to score, but two passes to Patrick Crayton were knocked away by corner Champ Bailey. To quote former Cowboys Coach Bill Parcells, “you are what you are.” Right now the Pokes are a 2-2 team, that does not know where they are going, and facing a 0-4 Kansas City Chiefs team that thinks Dallas is beatable. This season will be a bumpy ride.

On the subject of who knew. It has been 21 years since Prairie View beat Grambling in the annual battle at the Cotton Bowl. The Tigers from Grambling has had their number for that long. But Prairie View’s number came up and it dialed a 35-32 win, ending the streak. Howdy folks, yes it can happen to quote Big Tex.
