I went to the Visa Gymnastics Championships at the AAC recently.

Olympic gold metalist Nastaha Lunkin created a stir at the olympic games last summer. But who will be the latest gymnastic sweetheart to come out of the Visa games? Keep your eyes on Bridget Sloan, a talented gymnist from Pittsboro, Indiana. She wowed the AAC crowd by winning the women’s all around, with a score of 117.550. By the way, she came in second to Lunkin in the olympics last year.

Since this competition was in Dallas, Texas is a hotbed of gymnastic talent ready to take on the world. One Texan is Ivona Hong of Lovejoy. She won the balance beam and the vault. There were plenty of Texans in competition at the Visa Championships. With the Summer Games coming up in Rome, there will be plenty of gymnists from the Lone Star State ready to shine in the Gymnastic competition.
