Education is Freedom expands services to middle schools
Education is Freedom, an organization that until now operated only in high schools to promote dropout prevention and college readiness, is expanding its services to Billy Earl Dade and Thomas A. Edison middle learning centers. JPMorgan Chase will donate $750,000 for the middle school expansion.
In December, a pep rally was held to celebrate the academic achievements of Dade Middle Learning Center students, who have been enrolled in the program since September. The students will continue working with EIF mentors as they move from the middle school to James Madison High School, which has had the EIF program in place for several years.
