Giving you 85 reasons to shop local

Dallas, TX – Lovers of all things authentic, original, and handmade with love can rejoice in the return of Dallas’ most popular indie craft fair, the Urban Street Bazaar, hosted by Make Shop and Studio, October 10th and 11th. The usually seasonal “Handmade Palooza” is dropping in for only one weekend this year to supply the city’s growing demand for hip handmade product, and to give goers a chance to meet the crafty artisans and designers behind their favorite local goods.

Over 85 vendors will take to the streets of the Baazar’s favorite urban neighborhood, the Bishop Arts District, to showcase their handmade wares, vintage goods and supplies. Tints brimming with original clothing designs, one-of-a-kind jewelry, handbags, stationary, home décor, cool vintage finds, and dozens more will greet shoppers who make their way down to the District.

The bike-friendly event will encompass local musical entertainment and in addition, goers will have the option to tour historic Oak Cliff homes on The Oak Cliff Home Tour, pop into the numerous neighborhood art galleries, and peek at the selections of the various District boutiques.

Make’s Urban Street Bazaar began in 2005 with an idea to provide indie-adoring Dallasites a friendly atmosphere to meet emerging designers and support the local economy through the ever-popular DIY movement and it excited to announce it’s largest show ever with it’s 9th event. The show will go on from 12 – 8 pm on Saturday, and from 12 – 4 pm on Sunday. Parking is free in district parking lots and throughout the neighborhood.

NEW!

Animal Rescue of Texas + Richardson Humane Society will be there Saturday and Sunday with the cutest little pups and cats to adopt! The last Urban Bazaar was one of their most successful adoption days ever!
