HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS’ SPECTACULAR PERFORMANCE AT NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND PROMPTS RETURN TO DALLAS AREA ON APRIL 10

After leaving thousands of excited fans in Dallas at the NBA All Star Weekend in February, the world famous Harlem Globetrotters have announced they will bring their 2010 “Magical Memories” World Tour to Frisco, TX, at the Dr Pepper Arena on Saturday, April 10, 2010.

For the second straight year, the world famous Harlem Globetrotters were front and center at NBA All-Star Weekend festivities. In Dallas, Big Easy Lofton and Flight Time Lang suited up for the West squad in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, while Special K Daley and Scooter Christensen played for the East.

The Globetrotters continued to wow the fans in Dallas, as they joined NBA stars in going after Guinness World Records. Buckets Blakes tied the record of the Dallas Mavericks’ Jason Kidd by sinking two underhanded half court shots in a minute. Scooter broke two of his own records, by spinning a ball on his head for 7.9 seconds and spinning a ball on his nose for 5.1 seconds.

The newly added game in Frisco on April 10 will feature some of the most extraordinary athletes and entertainers including Amazing Race stars Big Easy and Flight Time, dribbling magician Firefly Fisher, and some of the world’s best dunkers Hi Rise Brown and Bull Bullard.

Now in their 84th consecutive season of touring the world, the Harlem Globetrotters exhibit a captivating assortment of trick shots, high-flying dunks, and incredible ball handling wizardry – with a side-splitting array of comedy – all presented by some of the world’s greatest athletes and entertainers.

In 2009, the Globetrotters made a triumphant return into people’s home via highly popular television programming. In a nine month span the Globetrotters had players on “The Amazing Race,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Jon & Kate Plus 8” and “The Bachelorette,” as well as “The 61st Primetime Emmy Awards.”

In February 2010, the Globetrotters continued to make history, as they became the first professional basketball team to play a game on ice. They took to New York’s Central Park and defeated the Generals wearing ice cleats and hockey helmets.

Tickets start at $20.00 and are available by at 866-337-1312 or www.DrPepperArena.com and www.harlemglobetrotters.com.
