DALLAS/FORT WORTH – October is The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month—four weeks dedicated to honoring breast cancer survivors and raising awareness of early detection. Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is bringing the wave of pink to town in November when the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure®, presented by Energizer, comes through November 5-7. The 2009 Komen Dallas/Fort Worth 3-Day for the Cure raised more than $7.9 million.

Since its inception in 2003, the 3-Day for the Cure has raised more than $500 million for global breast cancer research and local community programs supporting education, screening and treatment. To make your own impact on the breast cancer movement—in October or anytime—get involved.

Komen Race for the Cure. A fun event for the entire family is the Dallas/Fort Worth Race for the Cure, a 5K run and fitness walk taking place June 12, 2011.
