Juan Sepulveda to speak at Mountain View College

Juan Sepulveda, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans, in collaboration with Wright Lassiter, chancellor, Dallas County Community College District, Paul McCarthy, president, El Centro College, and Felix Zamora, president, Mountain View College, invite you to participate in a White House InitiativeCommunity Conversation on Friday September 11.

This session will provide you with an opportunity to voice your thoughts in two areas:

1) How Latino education attainment can and should be improved; and

2) What the White House Initiative should be doing to spearhead these efforts.

The first session will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the El Centro College – West Campus, room 141 located at 3330 N. Hampton Road. The second session will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Mountain View College, Room W181/183 located at 4849 W. Illinois Avenue.

The information gleaned from these sessions will be recorded and collected and will serve as the foundation for the new presidential executive order that will govern the White House Initiative and will be signed by President Barack Obama.

Please call at 214-378-1818 to attend and RSVP to Tammy Cooper, Dallas County Community College District. For more information about the event, contact Glorimar M.
