Mountain View College offers programs for Energy Auditor Training and Building Performance Analyst Certification

Dallas – Mountain View College is offering training courses to prepare students to obtain certification from the Building Performance Institute, Inc. This program is specifically designed for professionals seeking to become accredited energy auditors.

Courses provide comprehensive studies of the building as a system to train auditors to recognize performance improvement opportunities. Experienced instructors provide high quality classroom and field training focused on preparing students to successfully obtain building performance analyst certification. Topics of study include principles of energy, energy and the building shell, air leakage principles, whole house diagnostics, energy auditing, performance measurement, heating and cooling, and more. Program participants will also receive 24 hours of classroom training, 12 hours of field training, a proctored writing and field exams, training materials and curriculum.

Registration for energy auditor training classes is currently underway, and classes begin Jan. 25.
