Mountain View College, St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church offer College Connections
(Dallas) – The St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church, in conjunction with Mountain View College, will host an informational seminar called *College Connections* from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. on July 26. College Connections will be held at the St. Mark A.M.E. Zion Church, located at 2311 E. Illinois Ave. in Dallas.
The seminar will offer valuable information for future college students regarding financial aid opportunities, scholarship information, degree and certificate options, career and technical opportunities, and TAKS test tutoring information.

Mountain View College Nursing Program Receives Extended Accreditation
(Dallas) – The Brookhaven College Associate Degree Nursing Program at Mountain View College recently received extended accreditation from the National League of Nursing. Ngozi Nkongho, PhD, RN, CNE, Deputy Director, National League of Nursing, administered an accreditation site visit at Mountain View in June.
The MVC Nursing Program, a satellite program for the Brookhaven College Associate Degree Nursing Program, began in the Spring 2008 semester and will produce its first class of about 40 graduates in May 2009.
Applications for the Fall 2009 semester are currently being accepted. Students desiring admission must have earned their high school diploma or General Educational Development credential (GED), completed all necessary prerequisite courses, and recorded a score of 75 or higher on the Health Education Systems Inc. exam.
The Associate Nursing Degree Program is a 72-credit hour, five semester (including summer) block curriculum leading to an Associate of Applied Science Degree. Students are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses upon completion of the program.
A variety of financial aid options are available for qualified applicants.
