This school occupies approximately 28,000 sq. ft. in a three-story building easily accessible by both the LBJ Freeway and I-35 as well as conveniently accessible by bus service.

Platt Dallas is licensed by the Texas Workforce Commission. It is approved for training by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and Texas Workforce in Action (WIA). Platt is also accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology (ACCSCT). ACCSCT is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency and is a member of the Council on Post-secondary Education. Platt is approved by the Department of Education. (Financial aid and Federal student loans are available to qualifying students) and the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners.

Platt Dallas Admissions Requirements

Enrollment is open to men and women past the age of compulsory education. The school considers the following in evaluating applications:

1. Graduation from an approved high school program.

2.Successful completion of GED (Certificate of Equivalency).

3.Applicants without a high school diploma or GED are required to take a Department of Education approved evaluation to determine ability to benefit. Determination of purpose and attitude conducive to success.

4.The Pharmacy Technician program requires a high school diploma or GED.

Vocational Nursing Admission Requirements

•Must have a *high school diploma or GED

•Must successfully pass the Vocational Nursing pre-admission exam.

•Must interview with director of nursing or designee

•Must provide three professional letters of reference

*Applicants that do not have a high school diploma or GED from the United States must present evidence of proficiency in the English language.
