State Farm Insurance donates $10,000 to Mountain View College New Business Incubator and Workforce Development Center

Dallas – Evelyn Nishino, Public Affairs Specialist for State Farm Insurance in Dallas, personally delivered a $10,000 check as a contribution toward the New Business Incubator and Workforce Development Center at Mountain View College on Tuesday, January 5.

The funds were donated as a means of partnering with Mountain View College to enhance the creation, growth, and development of low income and minority-owned businesses in Southwest Dallas County and surrounding areas. More specifically, the funds will help to provide community members and small business owners with training through seminars, workshops, business coaching, counseling, incumbent worker training opportunities, and more. The donation was received by Mountain View College’s Sharon Davis, Vice President of Business Services, and Claralyn Jefferson, Assistant Dean of Workforce Development.

The new Economic Workforce Development building at Mountain View College is a 23,240-square-foot state-of-the-art facility which will eventually serve as an “incubation center” for start-up businesses. The new building is conveniently located near the east parking lot off of Knoxville Avenue on the east side of campus. Mountain View College is located east of Spur 408 (Loop 12) at 4849 West Illinois Ave. in Dallas.
