If the Dallas Mavericks find a way to get in the NBA playoffs as the eighth place team, they will faceSan Antoino. And i think the Mavs can push the Spurs 7 games base on what I saw in the recent meeting of these two teams. The 92-91 win by the Spurs shows that when these two teams play it’s close and tight. It also showed that the Mavs recent improvement of play should not be overlooked. With Utah, LA Lakers, Porland, and Houston battling the Mavs for that last playoff spot in the West, getting wins is huge with over a month to go. The Mavs will benefit from being at home a lot to round out the season. The question is will this winning spurt mean something toward the end of the season? That means the Mavs, no matter the team, or how close the game is, victories must be important. Which means that loss to the Spurs is huge. The Spurs are battling Oklahoma City for NBA West best the record. Close games are the order for the rest of the season.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban encouraged fans watching the Mavs-OKC game to boo Derek Fisher. Because Derek’s intentions when he asked Mark for permission to leave the team due to health issue with his kid. Well, Derek is back as a Oklahoma City Thunder player. And Mark is not to happy on how that went down. Mark’s disgust with Derek changing his mind on playing without Cuban’s opinion about is set him mad. And Mavs fans felt the same way, and let Derek have the Kiki Vanderweigh treatment. By the way, Brooklyn’s Deron Williams will get the same treatment. So will Josh Hamilton when he comes to town with the Angels. DFW sports fans don’t forget who done them wrong.
