Benefiting Children’s Medical Center Dallas

On December 3, children of all ages will help unwrap a fantastic annual holiday gift – the Neiman Marcus Adolphus Children’s Parade. Free to the public and benefiting Children’s Medical Center Dallas, the parade ushers in the season’s festivities with the theme «Unwrap the Joy.» Now in its 18th year, the nationally televised parade is sure to delight both the young and the young at heart with familiar songs, colorful floats and giant inflatable balloons overhead.

With generous support from dozens of sponsors annually, the parade is a gift to all the children of North Texas while also benefiting patients at Children’s Medical Center Dallas, one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the nation and ranked among the top 25 children’s hospitals in the United States.

Specifically, the parade supports the Child Life Department at Children’s, which encourages coping and increased understanding of the hospital experience. Child Life specialists work with patients in a variety of ways, including in the hospital’s nine therapeutic playrooms and through bedside activities, teen support groups and medical camps.
