Vincent Trevino, pictured with Dick’s Last Resort’s GM Rick Gantley, was the winner of the $400 cash in the Elvis Presley Karaoke Contest, held at the downtown restaurant and club January 8. Media judges, including Tribune columnists Durhl Caussey and Jo Ann Holt, said “Trevino’s moves are almost as good as the original’s, and his voice is great too.” Other judges included Jonanna Widner from Dallas Observer, Sally Blanton from Turtle Creek News, and society photographer Andy Hanson. Dick’s Last Resort celebrates The King’s birthday every January 8, and also holds an Elvis Memorial Tribute Contest on August 16. For more information call 214-747-0001.
