Dallas City Hall Wants to Hear from You!
...Citizens to Help Chart the Future of the City
What: An open house for citizens and stakeholders of the City of Dallas to visit with city staff in order to help shape the future of Dallas . Participants will have the opportunity to learn about new and innovative approaches the City is using to accomplish the goals established by the Dallas City Council with an emphasis on achieving key results and providing services in a customer centered/customer focused way.
How: Participants will learn about the City’s long-term goals and strategies for success. After an overview of the City’s efforts, participants receive “play money” to contribute toward the results they believe should rank highest in priority. Information collected from this exercise will help City leaders determine if their set of strategies needs improvement.
When: November 16, 2006
Time: 4 to 8 p.m. (Open House format – program will be repeated every twenty minutes in English followed by Spanish)
Where: Dallas Convention Center – Ballroom “C”
Parking: Free Parking is limited – Participants are encouraged to use DART. Free parking is located at the Convention Center in lot “C” located Griffin and Lamar. Overflow parking is available in the Convention Center Parking Garage located off Griffin Street .
Media: Pre-interviews are available starting today, through event day. The City needs your help in getting the word out about this event, and encouraging citizens to participate. Citizen involvement is vital in order to obtain direct feedback necessary for developing a strategic plan of which we can all be proud.
