The NBA Post season is here, let the playoffs begin. And that is true for the Dallas Mavericks, who reached the 60 win plateau with the victory over Utah recently. But the Mavs might not be at their healithest going into the post season. Guard Devin Harris reinjured his knee, that could keep him out at least the first round. Devin is important because he draws the main point guards like Tony Parker. Plus, Marquis Daniels hamstring flared up in the Utah win.

So two of the main cogs for the Mavs might be out for the first round. Either if its Memphis or the LA Clippers, the Mavs may struggle, but they will win their first round meeting no matter who it is. But over the long haul, you hope the injured gets well.

The debate over MVP continues in the NBA. Now Dirk Nowitzki has been seen as a MVP contender. But it will be either Kobe Bryant and LeBron James that will be the main two that will decide it all. LeBron has a better supporting cast than Kobe. But Kobe made the scoring headlines with his 81 point night, and 42 point a game average. And I can see Kobe winning the MVP. However, we did not see Steve Nash as MVP material last season. But he did nose out Shaq for that award. So Dirk winning the MVP is not out of the realm of possibility. Hey, you never know. Taking 2 of 3 from Oakland recently, means that things in the Texas Rangers camp is not that bad, despite the injuries and the slow start. The rest of the AL West has struggled, meaning that the Rangers are still in the hunt. A good hot streak is what the Rangers need. The pitching has been there for the most part, its the offense that has been struggling.

Once the home runs beging to fly, we may have something to look forward to come fall. I like the job GM Jon Daniels is doing, give it sometime to take hold Rangers fans. Things are beginning to look up.
