The World Cup is down to its final four. But lots of high drama to get there. Brazil, the team I picked to win it all, got bounced out in the quarterfinal round by France 1-0. There were two games that went to penalty kick to determine who moves on to the next round. England and Portugal played to a kick by kick showdown. It was England who was packing to go home, losing 3-1. And the home host Germany went to extra kicks to beat Argentina 4-2.

Italy had no problem beating the Urkrane 3-0. So it Germany-Italy, and France-Portugal. The 4 teams left standing in the chase for the cup. An all European group. Out of this, I’m going with the home country Germany to win it all. The will use the home turf to its avantage. The Dallas Mavericks did not waste anytime to lock up their players for next season and beyond. The main focus was Jason Terry. On July 1, the day NBA free agents can field offers from other teams, Jason Terry and the Mavs agreed to a 6 year, $50 million deal. And first round pick from Michigan State, Maurice Ager, agreed to a 4 year $2.2 million deal.

I look for Maruice to get a lot of playing time because of his defenisive skills. A part of his game that Coach Avery Johnson likes. As time goes along, he can be that lock down type defender, the type that can stop the Dewane Wade, and other scoring guards like him.
