The Dallas Mavericks begin training camp, and to resume the quest to finish the job. Coming up short to win the NBA title, Coach Avery Johnson is ready to get his players up for the NBA battles this season, hoping to return to the NBA finals. Dirk Nowtizki finally gets his extention on his contract, threeyears. Adding to the mix, some championship experience with former Laker Devin George. Along with Josh Howard, and Jason Terry, the Mavs should be among the favorites to get back to the Finals. But they know that teams like Denver, Phoenix, San Antonio, and Golden State with former Mavs coach Don Nelson, could knock them off their championship road. Having the Mavs host the NBA finals was a big ride. We were let down by the loss in game 6, and watching the Miami Heat get their trophy on our court made us mad. Its that fire that the Mavs must have to get the title back.

Among the additons to the Dallas Stars is veteran Eric Lindross. He was one of the dominant players in the NHL. Head concussions force him to limited playing time. Now he is here in Dallas, and a role player is idea for the veteran Lindross. With Mike Modano being the main dude for the Stars, production from Lindross would be great. The Stars must play well to get back to the playoffs, and to do better than the one round and done of last season.
