Rackspace, SolutionSet form business alliance

Rackspace IT Hosting inked a partnership agreement with SolutionSet that will allow Rackspace to provide managed IT infrastructure services to SolutionSet’s current customers.

Palo Alto, Calif.-based SolutionSet, which has offices in San Francisco, offers brand and technology capabilities to business customers.

The company’s markets a Community Services Platform that allows clients to create online communities for employees, partners and customers.

This technology has been deployed in support of global sales and marketing portals, product marketing, family/parenting sites, political campaigns and developer groups.

Through this new partnership, Rackspace will host Web sites and related infrastructure.

“As a leading provider of Web development, digital marketing and brand development services, we utilize Rackspace’s hosting expertise to ensure our clients’ sites and projects are operating on solid, scalable infrastructures,” says Kent Langley, director of networking and systems for SolutionSet.

San Antonio-based Rackspace provides hosted IT infrastructure maintenance and management services. The company has a large data center in Grapevine.
